The city of Ica is located south from Lima ; it is the land that has the legacy of cultures like Paracas and Nazca, civilizations that left for us a really rich art in their cloaks and still enigmatic lines, respectively.

The city's attractions include Huacachina Lagoon, a beautiful oasis surrounded by dunes and palm trees, as well as the Paracas Reserve where one can admire the resting spot of sea lions, otters, penguins, dolphins and over two hundred species of birds including flamingos, migratory shore birds and 'guano' birds which all live in the wild.

Close to Ica , in the province of Nazca , we can find another Cultural Heritage of Mankind, declared by the UNESCO: the impressive Nazca Lines. These enigmatic lines like the spider, the hummingbird and the monkey, can be seen flying over the area.

Population: 106,381 inhabitants.

Altitude: 406 m.a.s.l.

Climate: The city of Ica is sunny almost year round, with the highest average annual temperature of 32ºC ( 89ºF ) and the lowest 9ºC ( 49ºF ).
