Nazca - Paracas: coast area
Day 2: From Lima, we take the bus to Nazca. Upon arrival, we check in at the hotel. Then we fly over the Nazca Lines, an array of mysterious large-scale lines, which form enimagtic figures.
Day 3: We take a yacht to Ballestas Islands, where we can spot capricious rock formations and a large number of sea lions, penguins, guano birds and other marine birds. Later, we will visit Paracas National Reserve, which covers deserts, beaches and islands, the habitat for countless sea animals. At night, we take the bus to the City of Arequipa.
Arequipa - Colca Valley: andean area
Day 4 : We are picked up from the bus station in Arequipa and brought to the hotel; afterwards, we visit the historic town center, the Convent of Santa Catalina, temples, sacred places, large colonial houses and museums; we will observe the beautiful architecture, picturesque landscapes and breath-taking places.
Day 5: In the morning, we leave for Colca Valley by bus. Along the way, we go through Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we can see the wealth of the Andean fauna and incomparable landscapes. Upon our arrival in Chivay, we head for the hotel, and then to " La Calera " hot springs, and at night we will be able to see performers of native dances of Colca.
Day 6: We visit the Colca Canyon (the second deepest canyon in the world), and we can admire its depth and majesty as well as the flight of the condors. On our away there and back, we visit wonderful Andean towns and ancient cultural sites. Later on, we return to our hotel in Arequipa.
Puno - Lake Titicaca: andean area
Day 7 : We take the bus to Puno. Upon arrival, we check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, we visit the historic town center and its beautiful churches.
Day 8 : We sail on Lake Titicaca (the highest navigable lake in the world) and visit the floating islands of Uros and Taquile; we will have the chance to see the great wealth of its water which hosts a great diversity of birds, fish, mammals and amphibians, besides the Peruvian rural life and the Inca customs that are still kept alive by its residents.
Cusco - Machu Picchu - Sacred Valley of the Incas : andean area
Day 9 : In the morning, the bus takes us from Puno to Cusco; along the way, we are able to see the beautiful landscape and indigenous peoples. Once in Cusco, we go to our hotel and have the afternoon free.
Day 10 : We visit the imperial city; temples, ruins, sacred places, historic monuments and relics, beautiful Andean sites and landscapes.
Day 11 : In the morning, we go to the station to take the train to the citadel of Machu Picchu: we will visit this archaeological fortress and see the magic of the Inca Empire with its temples, sacred squares, homes and different sections. In the evening, we go back to the hotel in Cusco.
Day 12 : We visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we can find magnificent evidence of the Inca culture. We visit Pisac market, the Inca citadel of Ollantaytambo, the archaeological ruins of Chinchero and several native towns. Then, we return to the hotel in Cusco.
Puerto Maldonado: amazon jungle
Day 13 : We take the plane from Cuzco to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, we tour the city and go to the port where we board our boat and start an unforgettable journey which takes us deep into the Amazon jungle. We arrive at our hotel, surrounded by nature, and then explore the jungle and visit Monkey island which is the home for several monkey species.
Day 14 : We go for a walk into the virgin jungle towards Cocha Perdida, a shelter and feeding place for a large number of animals, such as otters, caimans, turtles, etc. Then, we walk up the Amazon lookout to observe the exuberant flora and wild fauna, and we also visit woods of wild trees. Afterwards, we return to the hotel.
Day 15 : We take the plane from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco and then our connecting flight to Lima. Pick-up and transport to the hotel in Lima. Free day.
Day 16 : Transport to the airport in Lima to take the flight home.
