Tumbes is a city with great cultural beauty and it is stands out for its beautiful beaches with a warm ocean. It is ideal for surfing and underwater fishing.

In the city, you cannot miss San Nicolas de Tolentino Cathedral, which main altar is carved in wood with baroque applications, and its windows show stained-glass, and the old City Hall of Tumbes, located in the Main Square, where the Municipal Library is found today. It is a large colonial house built with reeds from Guayaquil . Its steeple and lookout stands out. Also, you will see the small Bolognesi square, Benavides Boardwalk, and the pedestrian precincts in the commercial area where you may visit restaurants, discotheques and shops.
