Trujillo - Chiclayo: coast area
Day 2: We take the plane from Lima to Trujillo. Upon arrival, we head for the hotel. Later, we visit Chan-Chan, the largest clay citadel in America and ancient Chimu. We then visit the plazas, houses, streets, truncated pyramids, among other attractions. Then, we move on to Huanchaco, a picturesque fishing village, where they still use pre - Inca Techniques when fishing.
Day 3: In the morning, we take the bus to the "El Brujo" (the Wizard) Archaeological Complex, which belongs to the 15-century-old Mochica culture. The main attraction in this complex is the gigantic figures of dancers, fight scenes, all of which, despite the passage of time, have retained their original shape, details and color.
Later, a bus takes us to Chiclayo and we visit the "Royal Tombs of the Lord of Sipan" Museum, which holds the most spectacular archaeological finding in years, the remains of the Lord of Sipan and his treasures: a large number of gold, silver, copper pieces with semi-precious stones, all of them from the Mochica culture.
Cajamarca: andean area
Day 4: Trip from Chiclayo to Cajamarca by bus, pick-up and transport to chosen hotel.
Day 5: Tour of the city. We visit The Cathedral, Main Square, museums, colonial hospitals, The Ransom Room, Santa Apolonia Hill, among other attractions. We can admire marvelous colonial architecture and rich history since this city was an administration center and resting place for the Inca.
Day 6: We visit "Ventanillas de Otuzco", a funeral citadel carved in volcanic rock. Then, we tour the countryside of Cajamarca, ( "Tres Molinos" Plantation, the Garden of Hydrangeas, etc.). In the afternoon, we start our journey to the former Collpa plantation, the town of Llanacora and at the end of the day, we visit the hot springs of " Baños del Inca" (Inca Bath).
Chachapoyas/ Kuelap : amazon jungle
Day 7 : We leave Cajamarca on a 4x4 truck to Chachapoyas. We cross the impressive Marañón Canyon towards our destination, Leymebamba; here we visit the Malqui Center Museum, where over 200 mummies are exhibited. Arrival in Tingo and transport to Hotel.
Day 8 : At the scheduled time, on a 4WD truck we leave for the mpressive Fortress of Kuelap, visit the citadel, which is covered with vegetation and was built on the top of a mountain and has 25-meter-high walls. Then, we tour the town with its unique constructions.
Day 9: We leave for Cajamarca on a 4WD truck and visit important attractions along the way. Arrival in Cajamarca and transport to the hotel.
Day 10 : Transport to the airport to take the flight in Cajamarca to Lima and then back home.
